Experience

Our team has extensive experience with Engineer/Procure/Construct (EPC) projects, also known as design-build or turn-key projects, due to their ease of implementation and minimal risk for the client. While the contractor assumes most of the risk, the client remains fully involved throughout each phase, with their approval required before advancing.

EPC (Design-Build) Project Approach

Project Specifications & Schedule Development:

  • Develop project specifications and schedules with client involvement and approval at every phase.

Preliminary Engineering:

  • Conduct preliminary engineering with review cycles tailored to the client’s needs.
  • Early procurement of equipment and materials to mitigate inflation and post-Covid manufacturing impacts.

Detailed Engineering:

  • Review and approve incoming equipment and material submittals.
  • Finalize detailed engineering and produce 100% For Construction documents after procurement is complete.

Procurement & Bidding:

  • Utilize best-in-class software and processes for procurement activities.
  • Conduct extensive market research and network with local trade contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Prequalify subcontractors using industry-standard methods and secure bonds if required.

Project Management:

  • Fully integrate all processes with Procore for efficient project management.
  • The critical path schedule produced early in the design becomes part of subcontractor agreements.
  • Obtain licenses
  • Obtain bonds as required
  • General and subcontractor submittals

Construction Phase:

  • Deploy a full-time Superintendent on-site to manage construction activities according to the CPM schedule.
  • Hold regular meetings with the client to update on progress.
  • A full-time Project Manager handles administrative tasks while the Superintendent oversees on-site construction.

Commissioning & Project Completion:

  • The Commissioning Manager initiates system commissioning.
  • The Superintendent assists with punch list items and ensures project completion.
  • Maintain focus on client satisfaction before final demobilization to ensure a smooth project handover.

Support

Our Superintendent remains on-site throughout the construction, supporting the Commissioning Manager and aggressively working with subcontractors to close out any open punch list items. We prioritize client satisfaction and ensure they feel supported until project turnover is complete, preventing any sense of abandonment during the project’s final phase.
